Teona Dolenjashvili's new book presentation

Writer Teona Dolenjashvili's new book presentation will take place on February 25 at the Movement Theatre, located in Mushtaidi Garden.
The book, titled Replacement, is published by Intelekti Publishing.
The author noted that the book tells a story of a man, his passions and fears, death and life. It is a tale of two families, the story of the existence of different generations of people with their real human passions, love, betrayal, joy or pain, and the attempt to rewrite, correct, or start living again. The title reflects the main topic of the book.
“My goal was to write about the modern world, where people are left alone. A world where modern science creates a new person, a new mind, a new reality. Creates a memory implant, replaces facts, memories, the past, but can love be replaced,” she said.
Dolenjashvili has won Literary Award SABA 2009 in category the best novel for Memphis, Literary Award SABA 2006 in the category - the best debut for January River published, Georgian National Movie Center Competition 2005 for the best screenplay Fidai and the Newspaper Parnassus Prize 2004 for the best short story Fidai. Her book, The Real Beings was published by Bakur Sulakauri Publishing in 2014.
Her short stories are translated into German, English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Slovak and Azerbaijani languages and have been published in various literature collections of the above-mentioned countries.
Born in 1977, Teona Dolenjashvili graduated from the Journalism and Filmmaking Department of the Tbilisi State University. Apart from writing, she has worked for various private and State establishments as a Society Communications Manager.
