'Our services try to filter unwanted guests - so, be calm' State Security Service head Liluashvili says

The head of the State Security Service says that the relevant services are doing everything to "filter out unwanted guests" at the border.

"Russian tourists came in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, there were exactly twice as many entries in the reporting period, and neither sabotage nor terrorist act occurred. Our services, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other structures, try to filter out unwanted visitors as much as possible, you will not be allowed to see in public space citizens of other countries detained at the border or expelled from it, who were noticed in harmful actions or there were reasonable suspicions. So keep calm.

There are zero statistics of crime, from incoming tourists, so keep calm, don't panic. If someone wants to send agents, it doesn't need to bring in 900 thousand visitors, it needs to bring in 500-200-100 people. There is no way that 1,000 or 2,000 agents will be allowed into the country," he said.
