Georgian Dream evaluates 10 years of governance

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili has released a letter where he remembered October 1, 2012. According to him, this date is the most important in the history of Georgia, because the "Georgian Dream", together with the citizens of Georgia, changed the government peacefully for the first time as a result of democratic elections.
"Exactly 10 years ago, the Georgian people, under the leadership of Bidzina Ivanishvili, won against the criminal authoritarian regime, which fought against all values and trampled them underfoot. Today, the Georgian state is as sovereign as ever. "It is the result of the strengthening of state sovereignty that the government of "Georgian Dream" is the first in the nearly 30-year history of Georgia, under the conditions of which the country did not have a war," the statement said.
Prime Minister also emphasized the role of Bidzina Ivanishvili:
"The personal role of Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili was decisive in this process. In the conditions of complete hopelessness, deep political, economic and social crises, he was able to mobilize people's energy and give the right direction. As a result, we did what seemed impossible before - we peacefully changed the anti-state regime and laid the foundation for the successful development of Georgia, " said Irakli Gharibashvili.
At the end of the statement he once again thanked the founder of "Georgian Dream", Bidzina Ivanishvili and their supporters and Georgian people:
"Also to our party members, supporters, the whole society. I believe that the further progress of Georgia should continue to be based on the unity of the government and the people, which we laid the foundation for exactly ten years ago," the statement reads.
The statement of the ruling party also said that today Georgia is facing the biggest challenges, but Georgia and the ruling party "will overcome all difficulties with dignity".
