Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey have started military exercises
The annual joint exercises of the special operations forces of Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan, "Caucasus Eagle" has started. The information was released by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
The opening ceremony of the Caucasus Eagle 2022 was held on October 11 at the Special Purpose Training Center named after Major Gela Chedia in Mukhrovani, Georgia.
The purpose of the training is to deepen the synchronization and coordination of special forces capabilities by the special operations units of the Defense Forces of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, share experience, increase interoperability and improve command and control in a multinational environment.
The special purpose groups participating in the "Caucasian Eagle 2022" exercise will share their experience in fire and medical training, fighting in a populated area and performing special operations.
The trilateral exercise of the special operations forces of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, "Caucasus Eagle 2022", is held annually in all three countries on a rotational basis. Last year, the exercise was hosted by the Republic of Turkey.
Ilia Darchiashvili meets with the President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, held a meeting with the President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation, Irene Kelin, who is visiting Georgia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the information.

At the meeting, they discussed the challenges in the region and the importance of a strong and united position of the international community to deal with the threats that exist today. The minister drew attention to the security and human rights situation in the occupied territories of Georgia."
