PM Gharibashvili met with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.
The main issues discussed in the meeting were the dynamics of the implementation of EU recommendations and the significant progress achieved by Georgia on the path of European integration.
The information was released by the administration of the Government of Georgia.
At the meeting, which took place within the framework of Olivér Várhelyi's visit to Georgia, it was noted that 2022 was loaded with bilateral visits, which once again confirms the high level of political dialogue between the EU and Georgia.
According to the head of the government Gharibashvili, the government is ready to fulfill its obligations in order to quickly achieve progress on the path to joining the European Union, and a number of important steps have already been taken in this direction.
As Irakli Gharibashvili noted, it is important that the EU accession process of the associated trio countries is accompanied by the unwavering support of the EU institutions.
The conversation also touched upon the security environment of the region and the world. It was noted that Georgia is a reliable partner and ally of the European Union in the region.
The meeting between Irakli Gharibashvili and Olivér Várhelyi also discussed the main directions of the cooperation agenda between Georgia and the European Union and the reforms implemented within the framework of the association agreement.
