Georgia sends 25 units of high power generators to Ukraine

The Government of Georgia has sent 25 units of high-power generators worth 1,5 million Georgian Lari, completing the instructions by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili. The Generators were purchased by the Georgian State Electric System:
"The Government of Georgia continues to actively support the Ukrainian people. Today, 25 units of high-power generators were sent from Georgia to Ukraine, which were purchased by "Georgian State Electric System" under the system of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia on the instructions of the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili.
These are industrial purpose generators with a total value of 1.5 million GEL, which enable hospitals, catering facilities and other critical purpose facilities to work in an emergency mode." statement reads.
The process of loading the generators was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Romeo Mikautadze and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine Andrey Kasyanov, who personally thanked the Government of Georgia and the Prime Minister for the assistance provided.
"I am happy to note that the Government of Georgia has purchased 25 high-power generators for Ukraine, which will be used for industrial purposes - clinics, hospitals, catering facilities and other critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my personal gratitude for the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili, to purchase and transfer high power generators to Ukraine. Also, I would like to thank all the members of the Georgian government for the quick implementation of this decision, because all 25 electric generators will be sent to Ukraine today.
Thank you to all Georgians for the very strong and essential support of Ukraine for my country and my people in this very critical period," said the Chargé d'Affaires of the Ukrainian Embassy.
According to the Deputy Minister Mikautadze, the Government of Georgia and Georgian people from the very first day of the beginning of the war in Ukraine spare no effort to provide assistance to the Ukrainian people as much as possible. He expressed hope that the high-power generators sent to Ukraine today will alleviate the problems of the Ukrainian people.
