Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine meets with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine released a statement regarding the meeting of the Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine Giorgi Zakarashvili and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis.
According to the agency, the Deputy Minister Perebyinis expressed hope that Georgia will reconsider its position and join the circle of partners who supply weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, and Tbilisi will join all the sanctions imposed by the European Union against the aggressor state.
"In this context, he expressed concern about the information about the possible restoration of direct air traffic between Georgia and Russia. In turn, the Georgian diplomat assured that Georgia does not intend to resume flights to the Russian Federation," the statement reads.
According to their reports, Yevhen Perebyinis also raised the issue of the deteriorating health of Mikheil Saakashvili, a Ukrainian citizen imprisoned in Georgia, and called to consider the possibility of transferring him to Ukraine or third countries for treatment.
The agency also noted that Yevhen Perebyinis thanked the Georgian side for the supply of generators, as well as for programs to improve the health of Ukrainian children in Georgia.
