New Estonian Ambassador to Georgia Presents Credentials

On September 4, Estonia's newly appointed Ambassador to Georgia, Marge Mardisalu-Kahar, officially presented her credentials to Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.

During the ceremony, the two leaders discussed several key topics, including bilateral relations, Georgia's progress towards European Union integration, and the pre-election environment in Georgia. They also emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.

"Estonia will firmly support Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration, and we believe Georgia will continue on that road," Ambassador Mardisalu-Kahar stated. She also reaffirmed Estonia's unwavering support for Georgia's territorial integrity and praised President Zourabichvili for her clear stance in support of Ukraine and democratic values in Georgia.



Georgian Foreign Minister Meets Malaysian Senate Vice President

Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, held a meeting with Datuk Nur Jazlan Bin Tan Sri Mohamed, Vice President of the Upper House (Senate) of the Malaysian Parliament, along with an accompanying delegation, to discuss bilateral relations and explore future areas of cooperation.

According to information released by the ministry, the discussions focused on deepening ties in key sectors such as economy, trade, tourism, education, and people-to-people exchanges. Darchiashvili highlighted Georgia's economic potential, investment opportunities, and its strategic position in transport and logistics.

The Malaysian delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Georgia across various fields. The two sides also discussed the potential for further liberalization of visa regulations for Georgian citizens traveling to Malaysia, as well as the importance of maintaining a strong political dialogue between the countries.

Darchiashvili thanked Malaysia for its continued support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.
